DMEM/F12 Medium with L-glutamine and HEPES, no phenol red is a widely used basal medium formulated for the growth of various stem cell cultures including human pluripotent stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, human endothelial cells, and mouse embryonic stem cells.

DMEM/F12 Medium with L-glutamine and HEPES, and added sodium pyruvate, no phenol red, by Captivate Bio is formulated for superior quality, reliability, and consistency for use in mammalian cell cultures. DMEM/F12 media is a 1:1 mixture of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) and Hams F-12. The combination of DMEM’s high concentration of amino acids, vitamins, and glucose, enriched with Ham’s F-12 Nutrient Mixture, was found to support the growth of a wide range of mammalian cells. Cells cultured in DMEM/F12 with HEPES include mouse embryonic stem cells, epithelial cells, human endothelial cells, neural stem cells, human embryonic stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, and hematopoietic stem cells.

DMEM/F12 is a serum-free, basal cell culture medium that requires supplementation with serum like FBS, growth factors, or human platelet lysate.
