Human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs) are multipotent stem cells with a high capacity for self-renewal and can develop into specialized cells of the body such as chondrocytes, osteoblasts and adipocytes. Bone marrow derived MSCs can also differentiate into nerve cells, heart muscle cells, liver cells, and endothelial cells. Their easy accessibility, exceptional genomic stability, and their capacity for tissue repair with few immunological and ethical issues make them a favorable cell type for experimental and clinical use. Many trials are underway using bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells to understand and treat osteoarthritis, sepsis, autoimmune diseases, graft versus host disease, Crohn’s disease, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus and systemic sclerosis.
Human bone marrow MSCs by JangoCell are isolated from adult female (single donor) human bone marrow aspirates from qualified, traceable donors. Cells are cultured, passaged for purity, cryopreserved, and delivered frozen. Each vial contains 1 x 106 cells in 1 mL volume. Our human bone marrow-derived stem cells are characterized by flow cytometry and are negative for mycoplasma, yeast, fungi, and bacteria. HIV-1, HIV-2, and HBV are not detected. A certificate of analysis (CoA) is provided with each lot purchased. Additional donor information may be available when you place your order. Cells are assured to further culture using the protocol provided by JangoCell.
Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) are also known as: BMMSCs, BMSCs, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells, bone marrow stromal stem cells, bone marrow cells, bone mesenchymal stem cells, MSC cells, MSC stem cells, adult mesenchymal stem cells, and adult stem cells.
Product Use
This cell product is intended for laboratory research purposes only. Not approved for use in human subjects or for clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic use in animals or humans.
Human Material Precaution
Tissues used for cell isolation were acquired with informed consent and adhere to HIPAA standards for human privacy protection. All human biological material, including human cells, should always be handled as potentially infectious using at least Biosafety Level 2 precautions; we recommend that appropriate safety procedures be followed, using the same biosafety protocol used with known infectious material. Viral testing cannot prove the absence of a latent viral genome.
