MEM-NEAA (100X) by Captivate Bio is formulated for superior quality, reliability, and consistency. Eagle’s minimum essential medium (MEM) is a synthetic culture medium composed of balanced salt solutions, amino acids, and vitamins. These components are essential for the growth of cultured cells. MEM may be supplemented with non-essential amino acids in order to make MEM non-essential amino acid solution.
MEM Non-Essential Amino Acids (MEM-NEAA) is used as a supplement for cell culture media in order to increase cell growth and viability. MEM-NEAA contains the same non-essential amino acids found in the standard MEM, at a strength of 100X.
Applications
MEM is one of the most commonly used of all cell culture media for diagnostic virology, and can be used with a variety of suspension and adherent mammalian cells, including HeLa, BHK-21, 293, HEP-2, HT-1080, MCF-7, and fibroblasts.
